Ron Brounes founded Brounes &
Associates in 1997 and brings over 20 years of professional
experiences to the firm. He is instrumental in the creation of
the informational research materials, economic commentaries, and
“white papers” that are distributed to financial professionals.
He designs and delivers presentations on a variety of related
topics to help clients grow and manage their practices.
Through the years, Brounes has
worked directly with retail investors where he developed wealth
management strategies and assisted in comprehensive
financial/retirement planning. He spent several years working
with institutional investors in the strategic management of
their fixed income portfolios and also traded US Government and
mortgage-related securities. These experiences provide him a
comprehensive knowledge of macroeconomic issues, Fed policy, and
the impact of events on the investments markets. He also
understands the diverse roles of the financial services
professionals having “sat in their chairs” during his career.
Brounes earned his CPA license
and began his professional career in 1984 working with a major
international public accounting firm. He received his MBA from
the Edwin Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist
University in Dallas and his BBA degree in Accounting from The
University of Texas. He holds the NASD Series 7 and 63
licenses. Brounes has authored and ghostwritten numerous
articles for such prominent publications as US Banker,
Journal of Financial Planning, Personal Financial Planning,
and Houston Business Journal.
